This BGS rim-protecting impact socket is specially designed for operating damaged original wheel nuts or defective, chrome-plated covers and protective caps. On many Ford models, wheel nuts can deform and expand when trying to loosen them or due to weather conditions, making the use of a standard socket impossible. This special socket grips such damaged or covered nuts safely and reliably.
